we accept submissions of handwritten poetry and prose, usually under 1,000 words, as well as text-based art. your work may be published or unpublished; please let us know either way in your submission email. hybrid genres or mixed medium works are welcome. if you’re unsure your work qualifies, you may ask us via email.

you may submit up to three pieces at a time. we will do our best to respond within one month. you should receive an email within a few days confirming receipt. if you do not, please wait one week and then follow up with us.

we are looking for work that celebrates, memorializes, animates, or enlightens. we want work that, at its core, inspires a more hopeful existence. please submit your work in any medium(s) that suit you. if we are struggling to access them, we will let you know. if accepted, we will then work together to scan//process//upload your text in a way that honors the original intent to the best of our abilities.

if you feel your handwriting is illegible, you may send us a typed version or text description in addition. we are also looking to champion works that are hybrid in how they navigate “text” and “art.” art with text, or text interspersed with art, or something totally unexpected, are welcome.
